LEBANON: Syriac Maronite Patriarch Al-Raï receives Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon over countries’ bilateral relations

BETH KERKE (BKERKE), Lebanon – Syriac Maronite Patriarch Mor Béchara Boutros Al-Raï received at the patriarchal headquarter in Beth Kerke (Bkerke), the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Lebanon Walid Al-Bukhari. The two discussed local and regional issues, as well as the bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, KSA Ambassador Al-Bukhari stressed the importance and necessity of giving priority to the national interest of Lebanon over any individual organizational or personal interests. The latter prevent finding successful solutions to restoring Lebanon’s stability, security, and prosperity. He also stressed the guarantor role of the Syriac Maronite Patriarch in Lebanese national life, which is reflected through his tireless efforts in the interest of Lebanon and its people in these critical times.

Mor Al-Raï, in turn, stressed the need to maintain good relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, hoping the country will reconsider the import stop by the Kingdom of Lebanese agricultural products to Saudi Arabia. Al-Bukhari stressed that work is being done to overcome the reasons that led to the decision, hoping that this matter will be solved quickly.
