Virtual meeting between Foreign Relations Commission of North and East Syria and Australian Ambassador to Lebanon
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — A virtual meeting between the Foreign Relations Commission of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria and Australian Ambassador to Lebanon Rebecca Grindlay took place on Tuesday to discuss the latest developments in the DAA governed regions of Syria.
The meeting was attended by Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Commission Abdul Karim Omar, Deputy Co-Chair of the Foreign Relations Commission Abeer Elia (Syriac Union Party), and DAA representative in Lebanon Abdel Salam Ahmed.
During the meeting, the most important developments in North and East Syria were touched on, as well as the current political situation and the importance of finding a solution to the Syrian crisis in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
They also discussed the recent United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolution related to the entry of humanitarian aid across the border, the continued closing the Al-Yarubiyah Border Crossing and its negative consequences on millions of residents, and the need to find alternative ways to enter the humanitarian aid.
