US-led International Coalition reinforces its presence in Dayro Zcuro in North and East Syria
DAYRO ZCURO, Syria — The U.S.-led International Coalition moved several of its Bradley Fighting Vehicles from Rmelan to Dayro Zcuro (Deir ez-Zor), east of the Euphrates River, in response to calls from tribal leaders for increased support after an uptick in Islamic State (ISIS) activity.
Six Bradley’s and companion vehicles of the Syrian Democratic (SDF) moved to Dayro Zcuro.
The relocation of the vehicles comes soon after an attempt by ISIS cells to attack the Sina’a Prison in the Abu al-Khasbah area was broken up by the Coalition and SDF.
Dayro Zcuro was a stronghold of ISIS and the last area of North and East Syria and Iraq liberated from its control.
