Patriarch Younan congratulates our people on the occasion of Christmas

Qom Shle – On the glorious occasion of Christmas, which is celebrated by the majority of Christian churches around the world on the 25th of December, His Beatitude Mor Ignatius Joseph III Younan, Patriarch of Antioch for the Syriac Catholics, presented a Divine Liturgy in the Syriac Orthodox St. George Church in Al-Hasakah, congratulating the entire Syriac people in the Syrian Al-Jazeera region and the diaspora.

The patriarch said in a statement to the Suroyo satellite channel, “We congratulate you on a glorious Christmas, and we pray to the Lord, who came as a prince of peace and a symbol of love, to bless our Syriac Chaldean-Assyrian people in the Syrian Peninsula, and to bless Syria with civilization and love, and to bring all Syrians together in a spirit of familiarity, love, understanding and joint action to ensure that they find a solution to the Syrian crisis, and build a future for their children and grandchildren in this country.”
