Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Aphrem II and Bishop Maurice Amsih offer their condolences on the death of khoury Antoun Jarada

HOMS, Syria – Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, visited on Thursday Zaidal’s Saint George Church in the Homs countryside to offer his condolences on the death of chorepiscopus Anton Jarada, the vicar and priest of Saint George Church in Zaidal, who died in California.

Mor Aphrem II was received by Archbishop Timothy Matta al-Khoury, Metropolitan of Homs, Hama, Tartous and its dependencies for the Syriac Orthodox, as well as parish priest Father Gabriel Hazeem.

Archbishop Maurice Amsih, Syriac Orthodox Metropolitan of al-Jazira and the Euphrates, sent a telegram of condolence to Archbishop Timothy Matta El Khoury, expressing his deepest condolences on the death of chorepiscopus Jarada.

In his message he described the good qualities that the late archbishop possessed, especially his kindness, love, humility and wisdom in managing the affairs of the Diocese of Homs after his appointment, as well as his great services in the church in Argentina and then in the church in Zaidal, during which he was an example of a truly committed priest.
