Co-Chair of the General Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria Siham Quryo: Turkey will not be allowed to go deep into Syria

ZALIN, Syria Co-Chair of the General Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria Siham Quryo stated that,” The Turkish threats are not new, but have been persistent since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. This is evident in the recent statements of the Turkish regime’s head about the Turkish intention to go deep into the Syrian territory.”

Quryo noted that the Turkish regime’s head has always tried to intimidate the people of the border areas, through the media war or frequent bombing of the infrastructure and residents in the region.

“Turkey will not go deep into Syrian territory, unless authorized by Russia or the U.S.-led International Coalition, and Turkey is not expected to be allowed to take this step,” she added. “This drives Turkey to use drones and target public figures and the DAA officials.”

Quryo condemned the Turkish violations on the lines of contact with the Syria Democratic Forces (SDF) of North and East Syria, amid the SDF commitment to all agreements concluded with international guarantee.
