Film Director Aida Schläpfer’s documentary about 1915 Sayfo Genocide to premier in New York from 30 September to 6 October
NEW YORK — Film Director Aida Schläpfer al-Hassani and DA Production are set to premier their documentary about the 1915 Sayfo Genocide that was committed by the Ottoman Empire during and after the First World War predominantly against the Christian peoples in its territories, including the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) and Armenian peoples.
The film, Souls in Transit, is in English, with English subtitling where appropriate. It will premiere at Cinema Village on 30 September and screen through 6 October.
The film has previously screened at film festivals, garnering praise and several awards.
