BETH ZALIN: Syriac Union Party in Syria receives a delegation from Arab elders and sheikhs in North and East Syria
BETH ZALIN, Syria — Within the framework of consolidating relations and coexistence between the different ethnic and religious groups in the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) of North and East Syria, Co-Chair of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) Sanharib Barsom received a delegation of elders and sheikhs of Arab tribes in the region. The visiting delegation included Sheikh Abdul Malik Hakki, Mulla Nadhir, Mulla Jumaa, Abu Talib Abdullah Hisso, Yarshin Hussein, and Bilal Youssef.
Barsom expressed his appreciation for their visit and stressed the importance of strengthening mutual relations.
Sheikh Hakki emphasized the importance of maintaining good social relationships between the ethnic groups of North and East Syria, especially in Gozarto (Jazira) Region, which has been characterized by coexistence and friendship. The positive relations between peoples in the region have softened the difficulties posed to all communities by the Syrian crisis.
The two sides also discussed political and security developments in the region and how to jointly improve living conditions. They also stressed the importance of improving security and stability, as well as reaching a political solution that ends the suffering and ensures the rights of the Syrian people regardless of their religion or ethnicity.
