Deputy Co-Chair of Foreign Relations Department Rubel Bahho on Arab countries rapprochement with Syria: We are with any comprehensive Syrian solution that includes all parties in North and East Syria
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — In comments to our news desk, Deputy Co-Chair of Foreign Relations Department in the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) Rubel Bahho spoke about the rapprochement between the Arab countries and Syrian government, indicating that the developments are due to the political suffocation in Syria and absence of a political solution.
“Despite these accumulations, the Arab countries initiative is welcomed. However, the Syrian people and the DAA are waiting for a real political solution to end the Syrian crisis, in line with UN resolutions related to the Syrian dossier, including Resolution No. 2254,” Bahho continued.
Bahho pointed out that the Arab countries initiative, in the context of step for step, is good, but it also depends on the seriousness of the Syrian government.
“We hope that this will not take more than 6 months, and we hope to see positive results in the short term,” he added.
Bahho declared that this rapprochement, in general, is in the interest of the Syrian people who have been suffering from economic crises.
“We are with any comprehensive Syrian solution provided that it includes all parties in North and East Syria, including the DAA and the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC),” he concluded.
