Zalka Kindergarten celebrates concluding the school year in Zalin, North and East Syria
ZALIN, SYRIA — On the occasion of concluding the school year, Zalka Kindergarten of the Syriac Women’s Union (SWU) in Zalin (Qamishli) held on Thursday a party for the kindergarten children in the village of Moharkan in the countryside of Qabre Hewore (Qahtaniyah), North and East Syria.
The event was attended by the SWU official in Zalin (Qamishli) Georgette Barsoum, the Zalka Kindergarten Manger Maika Gourieh and the kindergarten staff and children with their families.
The celebration included the distribution of certificates to the children who took exams at the end of the school year, in addition to gifts and sweets in an atmosphere full of happiness.
The children’s parents, in turn, thanked the educational staff of Zalka Kindergarten for their great efforts to educate their children and organize recreational activities.
The Zalka Kindergarten continues to receive children even during summer, as part of the educational and recreational activities that will be held by the Olaf Taw Foundation within the kindergarten. The activities will start on Monday, and will include teaching the Syriac language, folklore activities and other recreational activities.
