Stichting Shlomo and Syriac Cross launch humanitarian campaign for Syriac communities in Lebanon
BEIRUT — Amidst the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict that risks spilling into Lebanon via Hezbollah, Dutch non-profit Stichting Shlomo and Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development initiated a humanitarian relief campaign to assist the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities in Lebanon. The campaign seeks to provide everyday essentials, including food and healthcare support.
In a dedicated effort to extend their humanitarian reach beyond geopolitical conflicts, both organizations have mobilized resources to aid hundreds within the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) communities in Lebanon.
The economic situation in #Lebanon is not new to any of us. People are experiencing hard times. We distributed food vouchers in #Beirut for those in need. pic.twitter.com/aIvlD9Z0FK

They also launched a donation campaign for nine-year-old Leonie, a Syriac child with a congenital mental disability. Despite her challenges, Leonie wants to attend school and pursue her education.
Rubel Mutlow, the head of Syriac Cross in Germany, expressed gratitude for the collective support received for Leonie during his visit to her home. Acknowledging the gathered contributions, he urged continued generosity from the community, inviting individuals to contribute to Leonie’s cause and assist her parents during these challenging times.
