Women of North and East Syria call on all women to demand their rights without fear
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — On International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, women in North and East Syria have confirmed their continued struggle to obtain all their rights.
In comments to our news desk, Member of the Executive Council Bureau of the Gozarto (Jazira) Region in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) Media Mohammed called on all women not to remain silent or succumb to any kind of violence, whether physical or psychological, because silence on violence produces criminal societies.
“Claim your full rights without fear,” she added.
Addressing all women of North and East Syria and the whole world, member of the AANES Executive Council of the Gozarto (Jazira) Region Judy Yunus stated that women can rely on themselves and prove their capabilities.
“Women have been suffering from all methods of violence. Women must face violence and break their silence,” she continued.
November 25 marks the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. For this occasion, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) allocates special agenda that include holding marches and delivering lectures.
