Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mar Ignatius Youssef III Younan highlights role of youth in spiritual construction during festive evening
HARISSA, Lebanon — Syriac Catholic Patriarch Mar Ignatius Youssef III Younan participated in an event celebrating St. Barbara’s Day and the upcoming Christmas season at the Patriarchal Seminary of Our Lady of Deliverance in Harissa, Lebanon.
As part of the festive evening, seminarians donned costumes in honor of St. Barbara, presenting a biography of the revered figure. Patriarch Younan addressed the seminarians, emphasizing the Catholic Church’s commitment to the youth’s vital role in spiritual development and religious upbringing.
In his speech, the Patriarch turned his attention to the humanitarian conditions in Gaza, expressing hope for resolutions to the ongoing conflict.
