Chaldean Patriarch Sako receives UNAMI Political Affairs Advisor in Kurdistan Region of Iraq
ANKAWA, Kurdistan Region of Iraq — Chaldean Patriarch Mar Louis Raphael Sako received Political Affairs Adviser at the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) Munyaradzi Motsi, at the Ankawa Priestly Monastery in Ankawa, Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI).
During the meeting, they discussed the current situation of Christians amid the political crisis in Iraq, the repercussions of the withdrawal of the Republican Decree recognizing Patriarch Sako as the head of the Chaldean Church, tragic Baghdede wedding hall fire, and their impact on the Christian presence in, and emigration from, Iraq.
