President of Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad stresses federalism implementation to preserve coexistence
BEIRUT — President of Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon Ibrahim Mrad met a delegation from the National Dialogue Party, at the USUP headquarters in Beirut.
The visiting delegation included Head of the Party Political Bureau Bassam Naamani, Deputy Secretary General Dreid Oweidat, Roger Shoueiri and Salama Naamani.
USUP Vice-President Leila Latti, members of the USUP Political Bureau Joseph Hajjar and George Jerbaqa also attended the meeting.
The two parties touched upon the political developments in Lebanon and the region, stressing the importance of coordination between the parties and the sovereign political authorities in order to save Lebanon from its ongoing crises.
“Lebanon cannot be saved except by liberating it from the Iranian control embodied by the Hezbollah militia, and the implementation of UN resolution 1559,” Mrad stated.
Mrad stressed that federalism implementation ensures coexistence, preserves pluralism and contributes to prosperity, progress and development.
