Christian Front in Lebanon welcomes call for national opposition conference

BEIRUT — During its regular meeting at its headquarters in Achrafieh, Beirut, the Christian Front in Lebanon welcomed the Lebanese Forces’ invitation to convene a national opposition conference in Maarab.

In its statement, the Front urged all opposition parties to participate in the conference, emphasizing the importance of unity regarding fundamental demands.

Additionally, the Front expressed hope that the conference would outline a strategy for implementing UN Security Council Resolution No. 1559, which it sees as crucial for rescuing Lebanon and its people from the influence of Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

The statement underscored the resolution’s role in safeguarding Lebanon from external conflicts and influence.

The Christian Front emphasized that it is time to compel Syrians to return to their country legally, as Lebanon can no longer bear additional pressure and burdens.

Lastly, the Front emphasized that Lebanon’s salvation lies in neutrality and federalism, which can facilitate the transition from a failed state to a developed and prosperous one.
