First Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian woman from Iraq joins Royal New Zealand Police
WELLINGTON — Maureen Shmuel, a Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian woman from Iraq, graduated from the Royal New Zealand Police College.
She joined the New Zealand Police, and she developed her work in the service by undergoing training courses, media sources reported.
Thus, becoming the first the Chaldean-Syriac-Assyrian woman to hold this position in the New Zealand police.
Shmuel was born in the Bakhtami village in Nohadra (Duhok) in Iraq. She emigrated with her family to New Zealand.
