European Syriac Union participated in Lebanese Forces Party demonstration in Brussels
BRUSSELS — Large crowds of members of the Lebanese Forces Party demonstrated in rejection of the Syrian presence in Lebanon, in front of the European Parliament headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
The European Union has taken a decision to keep the Syrian refugees in Lebanon and provide them with humanitarian aid in Lebanon, indicating that Syria is not adequately safe for the refugees return.
The demonstrators rejected this decision, demanding the return of 2 million Syrian refugees to their country and providing aid to them in Syria.
ESU Co-Chair Fehmi Vergili, as well as a number of Lebanese MPs and politicians also participated in the demonstration.
