New edition of Holy Bible printed in Syriac in Istanbul, Turkey
ISTANBUL — A joint committee of Syriac writers, language professors and intellectuals, as well as priests printed a new edition of the Holy Bible in Syriac in Istanbul, Turkey.
The printing was funded by Aziz Karatash.
The Holy Bible new edition will be distributed free to Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people in Tur Abdin, Turkey, in addition to churches and monasteries.
Karatash stated that this initiative aims to preserve and develop the Syriac language, as well as promote the culture of reading among Syriac people, especially reading the Bible.
He declared that he seeks to spread the Syriac language and Holy Bible teachings
Karatash thanked the committee that wrote it for its great efforts to accomplish this initiative.
