Syriac Orthodox priest Aphram Aydin ordained in Paris, France
PARIS — Over the past few days, a spiritual event was held at the Syriac Orthodox Church in Paris, Fance.
The ordination event was headed by Archbishop of France, Belgium and Luxembourg, Mor Gewargis Gawrieh who ordained the evangelical deacon Aphram Aydin as a church priest.
The ordination was attended by priests from various churches and a crowd of believers from Syriac (Aramean-Chaldean-Assyrian) people in
Paris.
After the ordination, the newly-ordained priest presided over the Divine Liturgy.
During his first sermon, Aydin thanked the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, archbishop Gawrieh, the clergy, the Local Council of Mor Sewerius Church and the attendees.
Father Aydin also thanked his wife and children.
The attendees congratulated the new priest and wished him success in serving the church and parish.
