Syriac Military Council announces fourth martyr from Turkish bombardment of Tel Tamr
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Amid ongoing Turkish attacks across North and East Syria, the General Command of the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS) announced the martyrdom of a fourth hawro (comrade), Mohammad Ahmad al-Barrak (nom de guerre Mohammad Hasakah). Martyr al-Barrak succumbed to injuries sustained during a Turkish airstrike while performing his duty to protect the homeland and its people. He was wounded in the same air strike that martyred three other MFS fighters.
In a statement, the MFS condemned the ongoing violations of international agreements and UN Security Council resolutions by Turkish forces. The daily bombardment along the border continues to claim lives, destroy infrastructure, and displace thousands of innocent civilians.
The MFS pledged to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people and their allies to persevere in their mission to liberate occupied lands and counter acts of terrorism. “We will remain steadfast in defending our achievements and ensuring the safety of our people against any new massacres,” the statement declared.
The MFS praised Hawro Mohammad Haskah for his discipline, competence, and camaraderie, describing him as a man of integrity who offered his life for the liberation of Syria. His ultimate sacrifice exemplifies the commitment and courage of the MFS fighters to stand against aggression and protect their homeland.
The MFS vowed to honor the sacrifices of their martyrs and safeguard the region’s people, continuing their vigilant defense of the borders and resisting all forms of oppression.
