BEIRUT — The murder of Armenian Orthodox Archimandrite Anania Khoujayan, who oversaw the Armenian communities in Zahle and Anjar, has sparked widespread condemnation from religious and political leaders. Message of Condolence from Syriac Catholic Patriarch

Patriarch Ignatius Joseph III Yonan, leader of the Syriac Catholic Church of Antioch, extended his condolences to Catholicos Aram I Keshishian of the Armenian Orthodox Church of Cilicia. On behalf of the Syriac Catholic Church, the Patriarch expressed profound sorrow and prayed for the late Archimandrite’s eternal rest. He also called for renewed strength and divine wisdom among the Church’s leadership in the face of this tragedy.



Lebanese President Pledges Justice

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun strongly condemned the murder, reassuring Catholicos Aram I that the perpetrators would be brought to justice. His statement reflects growing national concern over rising security threats and the broader implications of attacks on religious leaders.
