US Embassy in Syria and regional political parties extend Kha Nison–Akitu greetings to Syriacs-Assyrians community
BETH NAHRIN — The US Embassy in Syria extended its congratulations to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community on the occasion of Kha Nison–Akitu 6775, the Babylonian-Assyrian New Year.
Via its social media channels, the Embassy wished the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community and all those celebrating a New Year filled with hope and peace.
Several Syrian political groups, including the National Democratic Rally, the Kurdish Progressive Democratic Party, and the Kurdish National Council ((Encûmena Niştimanî ya Kurdî li Sûriyê, ENKS), also conveyed their Kha Nison–Akitu greetings.
These parties expressed their hope that the festival would bring peace, stability, and freedom to all Syrians. They emphasized that celebrating Kha Nison–Akitu reflects the resilience and determination of communities to preserve their identity and rights, while also highlighting the deep historical and fraternal ties among the region’s peoples.
Furthermore, they reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation, vowing to work together toward a future of peace, freedom, and democracy.
