Syriac Military Council and Council of Notables hold high-level meeting in Beth Zalin (Qamishli) to discuss regional challenges

BETH ZALIN, North and East Syria — Against the backdrop of shifting political and security conditions in Syria, particularly in the northeast, the Council of Notables of North and East Syria, in coordination with the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS), hosted a pivotal meeting in Beth Zalin (Qamishli) to evaluate recent developments and promote dialogue among local communities.

The gathering, held at Zana Hall under the theme Through the Will and Brotherhood of Peoples, We Shall Prevail, brought together representatives from the MFS’s Office of Relations, Syriac institutions, tribal leaders, clergy, and prominent figures from the region’s diverse ethnic and religious communities.

Discussions spanned a wide range of topics, focusing on the current political and security situation in Syria and the autonomous northeast. Participants shared observations, posed questions, and put forward proposals to address the complexities of the evolving regional landscape.

In their closing remarks, attendees expressed appreciation for the platform to engage in constructive dialogue and emphasized the importance of hosting similar forums regularly. They underscored the role of such exchanges in fostering peace, cohesion, and mutual understanding across the region’s communities.
