Two lectures on 1915 Sayfo Genocide to be held in Sweden on Tuesday and Wednesday
SÖDERTÄLJE, Sweden — A special lecture on the Sayfo Genocide, committed by the Ottoman Empire against the Syriac (Aramean—Assyrian—Chaldean) people in 1915, will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, in Södertälje, Sweden.
The lecture will be given by Turkish lawyer and author Muharrem Erbay, known for his book The Second Fortress of Sin: Aram and Layla. The event will take place at 6:00 PM at St. Jacob of Nisibis Cathedral in Södertälje.
Erbay will also give a second lecture on the Sayfo on Wednesday at 6:30 PM at the People’s House in Hallunda district.
Both events are open to the public and supported by Ilhan Aydin, a Syriac lawyer based in Sweden.
