Delegation of Syriac–Assyrian security and martyr organizations visit families of martyrs during Eid al-Adha
NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — A joint delegation from the Syriac Military Council (Mawtbo Fulhoyo Suryoyo, MFS), the Syriac Security Forces (Sutoro), and the Syriac–Assyrian Martyrs’ Families Foundation visited the families of martyrs across the region this week, extending Eid al-Adha greetings and honoring the sacrifices made in defense of freedom and dignity.
The delegation included Co-Chair of the Syriac–Assyrian Martyrs’ Families Foundation Armin Mardo, Member of the Women’s Office Badra Shamoun, Raheel Shamoun — mother of Martyr Aryo, and Fadia al-Hussein — mother of Martyr Iskandar. Also in the delegation were Abgar Nahumo — Member of the MFS Leadership Board, George Mousa from its General Martyrs Office, Adnan Elias of Sutoro’s Internal and External Relations Office, Dani Badal, Bassam Ishou, Yaqoub Hanono, Yaqoub Hanna, and Jennifer Malke.
The delegation visited the homes of several martyrs’ families, conveying heartfelt Eid greetings and reaffirming their loyalty to the memory of those who gave their lives for the region’s communities. They described the martyrs’ sacrifices as a guiding light for ongoing struggle and resistance.
During the visits, delegation members reiterated their unwavering commitment to supporting the families of the martyrs and preserving the legacy of those who paid the ultimate price for a safer and more dignified future.
The families welcomed the delegation warmly, expressing gratitude for the visit. Many described it as a meaningful gesture of unity and solidarity, highlighting the shared values of human dignity and mutual support that unite the region’s communities.
