Levantine National Council visits Melkite Greek Catholic Archimandrite Antoine Msalleh, reinforces unity amid crisis

DARAMSUQ — A delegation from the Levantine National Council (LNC), visited Archimandrite Antoine Msalleh, Patriarchal Secretary of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, on Tuesday evening at the Archdiocese of Az-Zaytoun Church in Daramsuq (Damascus).  

While the visit had been scheduled prior to Sunday’s terrorist attack on the Greek (Rûm) Orthodox Church of Mar Elias, it became an opportunity to extend condolences and express solidarity with the Christian community.  

During the meeting, Archimandrite Msalleh stressed the need for unity and civic responsibility amid challenging times, calling on activists to help raise awareness and promote resilience. The LNC reaffirmed its commitment to working alongside the Churchs in supporting victims and strengthening Syria’s social cohesion.
