Turkish-backed groups continue criminality and human rights violations across occupied North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — Members of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) continue their streak of criminality in North and East Syria.

On Monday afternoon, Abdul-Qader Nabi Ibrahim was shot by members of the SNA near the M4 highway, near the village of Hoshan west of Ayn Issa.

In occupied Tel Abyad, civilian Fares al-Karaf al-Hamidi was tortured to death in the prisons of the SNA, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

Another civilian from the village of Al-Hawija in the northern countryside of Raqqa was kidnapped by SNA members near the village of Aiwah along the M4 with a young man and child on charges of previously working within the institutions of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA). For his release, they demanded a ransom which the man could not afford and tortured him to death.

Meanwhile, in occupied Afrin, SNA members killed Dilo Omar Arabo from the village of Basovan in the countryside. He was shot after refusing to leave his house.
