Heart-to-Heart Aid Campaign, Universal Syriac Union Party in Lebanon delivers food aid to Syriac Church parishioners
BEIRUT / MATN – Members of the Universal Syriac Union Party (USUP) in Lebanon distributed food rations to parishioners of St. Peter and Paul Syriac Orthodox Church in the Beirut neighborhood of Msaytbeh and St Behnam and Sarah Syriac Catholic Church in the Matn district, Fanar area, in the Mount Lebanon Governorate east of the Lebanon’s capital Beirut.
Under its Heart-to-Heart aid campaign, an USUP delegation headed by the USUP Secretary of Social Affairs Joseph Hajjar together with parish priest Fr Charbel, representing archbishop of Beirut Mor Clemis Daniel Kourieh, delivered the food rations to the parishioners and were informed of their conditions and needs in the difficult circumstances Lebanon and its people of all sects are going through.
In Fanar, USUP worked together with church administrator Sam Azar of the St Behnam and Sarah Syriac Catholic Church to deliver food rations to its parishioners.
