Belgian delegation visits Executive Council of Gozarto Region in North and East Syria

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — The Belgian delegation visiting officials in the northern Iraq and North and East Syria continued its series of visits on Sunday, meeting with the Executive Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in Gozarto (Jazira) Region.

Co-Chair of the Executive Council Nazira Goreya, who was present at the meeting, explained that they discussed the security, health, and economic situation in North and East Syria. Fellow Co-Chair Talat Younis was also present at the meeting.

Goreya also noted the Belgian delegation expressed their support for the DAA’s democratic project in the region.

According to Goreya, the delegation promised they will do their utmost to help North and East Syria politically and economically.

Members of the Belgian delegation stated that they have been following the situation in the region since the establishment of DAA through their regular visits.
