Syriac Union Party wishes all the peoples of Syria peace and unity on advent of Newroz

NORTH AND EAST SYRIA — With the advent of the Newroz New Year holiday, the Media Office of the Syriac Union Party (SUP) issued a statement congratulating the Kurdish people, the Syrian people, and all peoples who celebrate this historic holiday.

“We hope that this holiday brings good and peace to Syria and an end to their pain and suffering,” read the statement. “This year will be the year of uniting efforts between all Syrian parties to reach a just political solution that meets the aspirations and goals of the Syrian people who rose up ten years ago and demanded their legitimate rights and have paid a heavy price for doing so.”

“We congratulate all those who have been contributing to the Democratic Autonomous Administration (DAA) in North and East Syria, which became the hope for the desired democratic change in Syria and the basis for building Syria,” the statement continued.

The SUP also expressed its gratitude the families of the martyrs who lost their children in the long fight for freedom and those still fighting in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Internal Security Forces (ISF) for defending the land and people of North and East Syria.

“We hope that all the people of Syria have a bright future and are able to overcome the years of war to achieve unity and coexistence within a free, democratic, decentralized, and pluralistic Syria.”
