BAGHDAD — On Tuesday, a delegation from the General Directorate of Syriac Studies in Iraq visited Patriarch of the Chaldean Catholic Church Mor Louis Raphaël I Sako at the Chaldean Patriarchate in Baghdad.
The visiting delegation included General Director of the Syriac Studies Imad Salem Jajo, Director of the Techniques and Curricula Department Ann Andrawos, and Head of the Christian Religious Department Uday Zuhair.
The meeting was also attended by Patriarchal Associate Archbishop Basilios Yaldo, Patriarchate Secretary Dr. Ikhlas Makdisi, and the priests Firas Kamal and Basman George.
The delegation extended its congratulations and blessings on Christmas and New Year, wishing the Patriarch success in serving the Church.
The delegation also briefed the work of the General Directorate of Syriac Studies and its achievements in developing curricula and contributing to the teaching and dissemination of the Syriac language and Christian religious education in Baghdad and other Iraqi governorates.
Patriarch Mor Louis Raphaël I Sako, in turn, commended efforts of the General Directorate of Syriac Studies and its achievements in the educational field.
