Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sends Akitu congratulations to Syriac community
YEREVAN — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, continuing the annual tradition, issued a congratulatory letter to the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community residing in Armenia on the occasion of Akitu 6774, the Babylonian Syriac–Assyrian New Year.
In his message, Pashinyan expressed his satisfaction with the Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) people in Armenia, noting their efforts in preserving their national identity and enriching Armenian culture with their unique character.
The Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) community, the third-largest minority in Armenia after Yezidis and Russians, received warm wishes from the Prime Minister.
