Russian soldier injured in an explosion in Hasakah; Russian convoy heads to Zalin (Qamishli) International Airport in North and East Syria
HASAKAH, Syria — Amid the state of alert, following the explosion that targeted the Russian forces ambulance near the Pearl Medical Center, in the security area in Hasakah, a convoy of Russian military vehicles headed from Hasakah to Zalin (Qamishli) to attend a meeting at Zalin (Qamishli) International Airport to investigate the explosion of an explosive device that injured a Russian soldier.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) hastened to close the gates with the security area in Hasakah controlled by the Syrian regime forces.
The explosion injured a Russian soldier, a translator and a civilian with varying injuries.
The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The explosion also caused material damage, amid a state of high alert in the security area.
