Civil Peace Council meets Syriac political parties to discuss Syria’s transitional phase

ZALIN, North and East Syria — In an effort to foster communication among political and social forces during Syria’s transitional phase, the Civil Peace Council visited the headquarters of the Assyrian Democratic Organization (ADO) in Zalin (Qamishli), North and East Syria.

The meeting began with congratulations to the political parties on the fall of the Assad regime. Discussions focused on the evolving political landscape in Syria, particularly in Gozarto (Jazira), and strategies to maintain civil peace during this critical period.

The Civil Peace Council emphasized the importance of inclusive representation for all ethnic groups in North and East Syria at the upcoming meeting with the transitional government in Daramsuq (Damascus). They underscored the solidarity of the Syrian people as essential to overcoming the challenges of this phase and declared that defending the nation is a shared responsibility for all.
