Administration of North and East Syria hosts delegations from DEM Party and Kurdistan National Congress to strengthen regional cooperation

BETH ZALIN, North and East Syria — The Democratic Autonomous Administration of the Region of North and East Syria (DAARNES) recently hosted delegations from the Peoples’ Equality and Democratic Party (Halkların Eşitlik ve Demokrasi Partisi, DEM Party) and the Kurdistan National Congress (Kongreya Neteweyî ya Kurdistanê, KNK). The meetings aimed to foster dialogue, enhance coordination, and work toward a unified Kurdish front in the Middle East.

The DEM Party delegation, led by co-Chair Keskine Bayindir and accompanied by members of the party’s executive committee and several parliamentarians, was welcomed by the DAARNES Executive Council. Discussions focused on improving inter-Kurdish cooperation and presenting a unified political stance. A DEM official stated, “Our dialogue here today is a crucial step toward forging a unified Kurdish path, one rooted in peace, pluralism, and national unity, as envisioned by Abdullah Ocalan.”

Meanwhile, the KNK delegation visited the Peoples’ Council in Gozarto (Jazira) Canton, where they were received by the joint presidencies of the Peoples’ Council and the Executive Council. The talks underscored the importance of convening the KNK and translating its resolutions into actionable policies. Participants stressed that Kurdish unity is vital for internal solidarity and for advancing Syria’s decentralized and pluralistic governance model.

The DEM delegation concluded their visit with a meeting at the Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) office in Beth Zalin (Qamishli). There, they reviewed the outcomes of the recent Conference on Unity of Position and the Kurdish Front, reaffirming their shared commitment to coordinated political reform and regional collaboration.

These engagements underscore the collective effort to achieve a unified Kurdish position, a critical step toward fostering stability and advancing broader regional and national goals.
