Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union congratulates Patriotic Union of Kurdistan on 50th anniversary
BETH NAHRIN — The Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union (Huyodo d‘Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) extended its congratulations to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its founding.
In an official statement, the HBA praised the PUK, describing its emergence on the Iraqi political scene as a vital addition that contributed significantly to raising political and social awareness among large segments of the Kurdish people.
Joseph Sliwa, President of the HBA, stated in the message that the PUK’s struggle alongside other political parties against dictatorship in Iraq marked a pivotal chapter in the country’s broader liberation movement.
The statement concluded with warm wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the PUK and its supporters and emphasized the importance of achieving genuine democracy and peaceful coexistence among all peoples of Beth Nahrin (Mesopotamia).
