DEIR EZ-ZOR – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) revealed the withdrawal of Iranian militias from the Tammo neighborhood in al-Mayadin, a town to the southeast of Deir ez-Zor, which it had previously taken. The Iranian forces withdrew to establish a headquarters in the farmland on the outskirts of the town. The militias burned the houses they were using in the city before withdrawing.
According to the sources of the SOHR, the militias moved all contents from their city headquarters, including furniture, suddenly yesterday.
It also prevented the residents of the neighborhood from returning to their homes and closed its entrances and exits, while converting a Sunni mosque for Shia worship, raising the Shia prayers.
SOHR also monitored the seizure of four farms by the Russian Military Police near the Balaum roundabout and the modern medicine hospital in al-Mayadin to be able to monitor the movement in and out the Deir Ez-Zor region. SOHR also mentioned that some weeks ago, Iranian forces had seized some farms in the same area.
