JBEIL, Lebanon — A young Syriac-Chaldean man, Randal Yousef, from the town of Batnaya in Nineveh Plains in Iraq, drowned in a river in Lebanon. Several unsuccessful attempts were made to rescue Randal.

He was on a trip with three friends to Ibrahim River in the town of Hashush where he was swept away by a strong current.
