Delegation of Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian writers visit the Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union Party in Iraq
ANKAWA, Iraq — With the aim of strengthening relations between the political and cultural institutions and parties of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in Iraq, Head of the Beth Nahrain Patriotic Union (Huyodo d-Bethnahrin Athroyo, HBA) Yousef Yaqoub Matti received a delegation of intellectuals and writers at the HBA’s headquarters in Ankawa.
The visiting delegation included Deputy Head of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian Writers Union Nasir Ajmaya, Member of the Union Administrative Body Wadih Zora, and Head of the Suraya Foundation for Culture and Arts Nawzad Bulos.
The discussion revolved around the history of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people and their current living conditions in Iraq and the wider region.
Matti thanked the visiting delegation and the two sides agreed to continue joint visits, which they viewed as having a positive impact on the struggle, presence, and stabilization of the Chaldean–Syriac–Assyrian people in their historical land.
