Syriac Cross and Caritas Slovakia distribute heating fuel to families affected by earthquake in Holeb (Aleppo), Syria
HOLEB, Syria — Following the devastating earthquake on 6 February last year, which impacted several cities, including Holeb (Aleppo), Syria, the already precarious living conditions in the city have further deteriorated.
Syriac (Aramean–Assyrian–Chaldean) relief organizations, such as the Syriac Cross Organization for Relief and Development, have stepped in to support families in need.
Syriac Cross, in collaboration with Caritas Slovakia, have supplied 50 liters of heating fuel to 140 Syriac Orthodox families facing hardship in Holeb.
Highlighting the urgent need for intervention due to the critical shortage of electricity and heating fuel, Syriac Cross emphasized the necessity of providing immediate assistance to alleviate the situation.
