Three ISIS terrorists and a drug dealer arrested by Iraqi intelligence in Kerkeslokh

KERKESLOKH, Iraq — The Iraqi Federal Intelligence and Investigations Agency issued a statement on Wednesday saying that the Kerkeslokh (Kirkuk) Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior managed to arrest three prominent members of the Islamic State (ISIS).

According to the statement, one suspect “Tariq”, was an intelligence officer and then a member of the Hisbah, ISIS’s infamous religious police responsible for enforces adherence to strict Islamic law. Another suspect, “Saad”, worked in Divan al-Jund and was responsible for distributing water to ISIS points in the Riyadh district. Saad admitted his participation in three battles in 2014 against Iraqi security forces. The third suspect, “Husam”, worked in the Hisbah and admitted to committing criminal acts in Al-Zab district on behalf of ISIS.

In related news, a security source in Najaf Province revealed to Shafaq that an intelligence team arrested a drug dealer after raiding his home. The team seized 2,500 narcotic pills and 300 grams of crystal material, an automatic rifle and two pistols.

The source indicated that the suspected drug dealer was transferred to a special investigation authority to complete the legal procedures.
